Hercules Church Chairs: a Quality Comparison

CHURCH CHAIR COMPARISON

This... Is Really This!!

DON'T BE FOOLED BY THE MYTH
(Hercules even requires assembly - up to 14 screws)

HERCULES CHURCH CHAIR

1. Each Hercules church chair REQUIRES ASSEMBLY!

2. Each chair requires 6 wood screws to attach the back. 2 people are required to best build each chair (one to hold pieces in place, and one to attach them). Accidental over-tightening (easy to do!) will cause screws to strip. Because of the hand assembly, your church chair backs will often vary in height - creating uneven rows.

3. Adjustment of each ganging device is also required, including loosening & re-tightening of 2 screws on each side of each church chair. Ganging hardware must be extended the same length on each side for proper fit when interlocking church chairs together.

4. Metal book racks also require assembly. 4 screws are required. Once installed, chair will not stack.

5. For each of the Hercules church chairs, you'll need to install up to 14 screws to complete assembly!

6. Average total assembly time per Hercules church chair, with a minimum of 3 people is 7 to 10 minutes per chair, for about 6 to 9 chairs per hour. An order of 200 church chairs will take a team of 3 at least 22 hours to build!

7. Hercules' ganging device is a flat metal stamping of 20 gauge (.0359-inch) very thin metal which easily bends and which is screwed in place. Our ganging devices are 6 gauge (.2" diameter) solid steel rod which is 6 times the thickness of the Hercules ganging device, and is welded in place vs. screwed.

8. If assembled as directed, the Hercules' cutaway lumbar support position is too low for most parishioners' backs. It presses into the seated person's upper buttocks rather than the lower back, causing discomfort vs. aiding comfort.
